hello,

I tried to install linux over my hard disk, however, the Druide, I believe, did not allow me to partition the drive probably.

The problem was "The partition is to big" message showed up. I don't know why that happen because I just put 1500 MB out of 3200 MB.

Also, it said "/" illegal mount or something, and "the partition is not Native Linux formmated"

The kernel I am trying to install is Red Hat Linux, version 5.1

Any clue? Please help me get through this Linux installation process.

Your help is appreciated...

It sounds like you didn't create a partition for Linux.

I'm not too familiar with Disk Druid, but you're going to want to 'shrink' your Windows (read: FAT or FAT32) partition in order to have space for your Linux (read: ext2) partition.

Rerun Disk Druid, and be sure that you've got a partition formatted as ext2 or Linux won't be able to install.

Hope this helps,

Mike
