Keyboard and Root password?

Hello
During the install process my keyboard works...until I get to the root password setup...any idea on why this would not recognize my keyboard? Do I have to reboot and start all over again?

I have Corel Linux and am having a similar problem, I can login, but once I get in the keyboard stops responding.

hmmm... I am just suggesting this cause I forgot about this once so dont get mad, but did you try typing your password and pressing enter and seeing what hapens? sometimes it doesnt show any stars or any cursor movement for security reasons.
