I have a Win98 machine I would like to have it connect to my linux box running Caldera Linux... My network card seams to be okay... (it is a laptop by the way) the lights on the cable are on. 100mbs and power.. activity flashes every once in a while...

the domain of my laptop running linux is mynetwork.com

I set my win98 workgroup to mynetwork just in case...

They still can't see each other...

What am I doing wrong???

you have to install samba on the linux machine, so the windows computer can access any shared files.

go to http://www.samba.org for more info

good luck
