Yes, but this is a commercial product and isn't cheap.
There are several other options but can you explain why you want to do this to tell you the best route?

If you are interested in playing games, setup a dual boot system.
If there are some programs that are Windows only you need to run, please list them and we'll tell you your best options.

basically once I can get xp inside linux and running the rest of what I want to install should be ok with it as I want to switch to mainly linux as there are not as many bugs/flaws/holes as in a win os.

I used to use linux full on about 2 years ago but I never used windows back then as much and now that I kno both I would rather run linux as my main and have xo inside like i currently do with apple's osx inside my windows xp.

Why do you want to run xp inside linux anyway? If its just for running a particular app, maybe look at wine. But then again, if you cant get that app with linux, then just run xp and not on the internet and it wont have any security flaws, but if you run xp inside linux, then it will still have the same bugs and flaws. What are you trying to do?

basically i prefer linux in general but I am mainly wanting to run xp inside like using it as a shell extension so that I can also run windows programs while in linux.
also at the moment i also run it through dual boot but I am mainly after the ability to run both together aswell so that I do not have to swap os to go into other areas and also my modem driver as its cable and has no linux drivers needs a win os to be installed aswell grrrrrrr

To access the modem, you'll need to run Linux on top of Windows, not Windows on top of Linux. Also, are you sure you want to do this? Dual booting is *much* faster. VMWare and the like are *really* slow.

i really dont understand why you want to run windows and linux simultaneously. windows will not sit well on top of linux. you'd be better off running linux from inside windows as Draco Malfoy says.

if you want to run windows applications under linux try wine
