Customizing FC 3 Linux Console - How to?
Hi
I use Fedora Core 3 Linux, and I spend most of the time in programming, which is almost entirely done from the console/command line. I dont like the existing boring blackand white environment for the backgorund and text. Is there a way to change the shell prompt color to light green (shell prompt and commands i.e. font color)?

I got this from Red Hat:
Quote:
The GNOME terminal is easily customized for whatever look you want. To do so, open the "current profile" option, under the "edit" menu, and select the "Colors" tab. From here you can change the background/text colors and the palette colors. There are several built-in schemes to choose from or you can make your own scheme by clicking on a color and changing it to whatever you like.
I dont use gnome so was'nt sure what to tell you, hence the quote.
If you use konsole (in KDE) you can click the Settings menu in konsole.
