Can't load ndiswrapper
Hello
I've used ndiswrapper to get my Linksys wifi card working on Mandrake 10.1, but I've just upgraded to 10.2 and ndiswrapper module won't load.

When I modprobe ndiswrapper, I get this message
FATAL: Error inserting ndiswrapper (/lib/modules/2.6.10-3mdk/kernel/3rdparty/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapper.ko.gz): Operation not permitted

Everything should be working according to ndiswrapper -l.

I didn't compile ndiswrapper, its the version installed by Mandrake's urpmi. I've tried as root and using su. I've also messed around with modprobe.conf, modprobe.preload, andmodprobe.blacklist but haven't gotten it working.

Help is appreciated

When you upgraded did you aslo go from the 2.4 to the 2.6 kernel? If so you can't use a module intended for the 2.4 kernel on 2.6. If not, then I would remove the module and reinstall it.

Thanks, but the old version of Mandrake was also a 2.6 kernel.
