i hope i have gave enough info below aree my comp info

and i have heard from someone that the GCC from mandrake was pretty crappy

first out of curiosity, why are you doing LFS?

Secondary from the error message. It seems to be looking for cygwin and mingw32 and they arn't there, no surprise. The configure error seems to be that while its doing the ./configure it's seeing that its trying to do more then one host and target...not sure why but that seems to be the problem

probably a config file edit to get it to only do one host target etc..

You could start with an easier distriubution to get up and running with Linux before diving into something that requires compiling everything from scratch......

something like Fedora, SuSe or Mandrake for example.... there are many others

well if you havent read well every thing i have mandrake installed and runnig as far is it does and i want to create my own linux that i have customized to fit my pc so i can simply install it faster with less MB becuase it doesnt not have a gigantic driverś database with driver i dont need becuase i only have one video card one sound card one raidcontroller etc. etc. and if something goes terribly wrong i could reinstall it faster then other system's and i want to learn how to compilen thing's only this piece of junk :P does not do it at the while i do every like the way it stands there

your drivers are in your kernel (or modules for the kernel), and you can compile that to your hearts content in any distro
