Reformatting Mandrake Linux 10
I want to wipe my HDD complete and reinstall Win XPH.

I have the recovery CD, but every time I use it it says it reformats, then it says the Windows XPH install was completed sucessfully. When I reboot, it boots into Linux.

I want to reformat Linux, so then maybe when I install Win XPH it will work.

Can anyone help me? All help is appeciated.

After I supposedly reformated with and successfully installed XPH, it won't boot into Mandrake, but it shows some kind of Mandrake screen...

unless you chose differently, mandrake would have set up multiple partitions on the drive.
i'm pretty sure XP installer can delete partitions even if it can't read them.
make sure the drive shows no partitions, just one big block of free space, and install on that.
