Question Ethernet fast RH8 - Ethernet slow RH9
Does anyane have any suggestions regarding Ethernet throughput performance between RH8 and RH9? I am using the same system (P4 1.8Ghz and Intel EtherExpress/100). Under RH8 I got 80MB/s (10/100), but now that I installed RH9 (2.4.20-8) I can only get around 11MB/s.

We tried a newer 2.4 kernel (2.4.30) but still no luck.
We then switched to a 2.6.10 kernel and that got us back to 80MB/s on our FibreChannel link. During this time we found that the 2.4 receiver was causing the holdup. Concluded that RedHat 9 2.4 was the problem since RH8 and a 2.6 kernel work just fine on the same hardware.
