Thumbs down [n] Why I still use Windows not slackware 10.1
That subject was for making you read this text!

Well, I am using Slackware 10.1.
I am behind the proxy with authentication.
I am very happy with Slackware 10.1, the only thing that is putting me off is yahoo messenger. (I can use yahoo messenger in my Windows 2000 Pro.)
I can't connect to yahoo! using gaim or kopete.

1. Gaim says proxy server forbids port 5050 tunneling. (I don't have any control on proxy so I can't ask my admin to allow port 5050 tunneling!, think other solution)

2. Kopete just keeps that yahoo icons animating and does noting!

3. I coudln't find the yahoo messenger for slackaware 10.1.

Bottomline: How do I use yahoo messenger (yahoo IM) in Slackware 10.1?

Any suggestion?

Gain doesn't work even after configuring proxy in gaim preferences?
