k3b repeatedly failing(and making expensive coasters)
Windows declared the partition on my main hard drive dead, but when I loaded knoppix up it worked fine. I am attempting to use knoppix to back up my data. however, after the first dvd which was successful none of the other ones have worked(got 3 coasters so far). They always burn at below 1.00x and die at around 20%. Any clue what is wrong or of an alternate program I can use?

Maybe the HD is to the point of not being able to deliver the data to burn. As a last resort I'd put it in another computer as a slave and see what happens.
