The wireless adapter should work ok, however Delorme has no interest in linux support for their products. See this quote below from an email reply to a Linux user:

Mr. Warfield, Thank you for your inquiry. At this time we do not have any plans to format our products to the Linux platform. I will send a suggestion to our Suggest Department and hopefully they will take this into consideration when they are looking for future updates. The more people that request this platform, the greater the chance of DeLorme considering it. So, if you know any other Linux users, ask them to email us at suggest@delorme.com and maybe in the future it will pay off.

Thank you Tammy
Id you need these applications, use windows....

You said the wireless adapter would be okay, what daemon or whatever do I have to load to make it work? I also have a Linksys PCMCIA wireless-B card and it refused to load on my laptop with Damn Small Linux (it's one of those liveCDs, very awesome, but that might be my prob). Please help!

WPC11 version 4, Linksys. Do I have to download something from the Linksys site or something?

Wireless Tools for Linux

I believe version 4 is realtek chipset - might be trickier than the earlier prism-based versions.

You may want to take a stroll through the DSL networking forum:
