configuring dial up external modem in Knoppix
I am using a external zoom fax modem on com2. How can I configure my modem to dial out into Compuserve ? I use the classic version. At work it did auto configuration but we use a dsl line.

I am using 3.8 of Knoppix.

Thanks in advance

You'll need to find out the chipset, find a driver, then compile the driver and make install..

This page should help: http://linmodems.org/

If it's a MD3200 chipset, and you can't use it, send it my way.. I have a asterisk PBX which can use another FXO port.
