FC3 Network with XP
Hi,

I'm trying to network Fedora Core 3 with my windows XP PC.

Here's the set up:

The router\modem (D-Link 302G) is connected to the XP box and then theres a network cable from the actualy XP machine to my laptop which is running FC3.

If I set it to DHCP to obtain an IP automatically it fails.
If I set the IP manually I can ping 192.168.0.1 (MY XP machine) but can't browse through it(maybe I just don't know how) and Can't get an internet connection (Yes it is shared).

the ifconfig command isn't recognised for some strange reason and I have no idea how to fix this.

Any help appreciated...

EDIT: I can also ping the router's IP address(which is connected to the other PC) and I figured out why ifconfig wasnt working
