SUSE's printing system is confusing...

I am trying to install my printer, an HP Deskjet 660Cse, but 1) the installer doesn't list a driver for the 660cse specifically, and 2) there are about 6 drivers for the 660c. Why? Also, when I hit printer test after installing the printer, it asks me for my password, so I type it in, but it says Authentication failed (user name=jacob) Do you want to retry?

Why? Help!

Are you configuring the printer through YaST2? That is the best way. When it asked for your password it was asking for the root password, no your regular user account password.
Go to Control Center> Yast2 Modules> Hardware> Printing and enter the root password when asked. Your best bet, if YaST2 identifies your printer correctly, is to use the driver that is listed as "recommended".
Post back if you hit a snag.
