Solved: Live CD Won't Boot
Hello:

I have downloaded and burned a copy of the "Ubuntu" software (ubuntu-5.04-live-i386); I can read it and open the "DiskTree" window with the "Start.exe" program, but it will not boot. I am somewhat new to linux so I know next to nothing.

*Also my boot order is: Floppy, CD-Rom, HD.

Any suggestions?

Regards

Try setting the boot order to CD-rom first.

What program/burning procedure did you use?

Hello Lynch:

I downloaded the file (ubuntu-5.04-live-i386), unzipped it into a folder on the desktop, and then compiled a a CD with "Nero".

Is there a special way that it should be done?

Regards

Hello Lynch:

Thanks, I had burned the files after unzipping them (wrong). I then burned a new CD as suggested on the site you posted (worked, but I had some bad CD's), Tried again with a better CD and it is working very well.

Thanks again for your help!

*** I am using the "Ubuntu" OS and the "FirFox" browser to send this message.
*** Very Cool!
