Slackware Linux Setup
Hi i installed slackware on my old PII and I had to xorgconfig to configure my mouse but now i have to configure my video card settings but my video card/adapter is the deafault one for my motherboard witch is chipset sis 530 but I have no idea How much video memory it has is there any unix commands that could tell me.? I know It can run in 32 bit color because it was under win xp pro so Help Plz

As root, issue the following command:

XFree86 -configure


This will create a configuartion file and place it in /root/XFre86Config.new

Then copy that file over to /etc/X11 like this:

cp /root/XFree86Config.new /etc/X11/XF86Config

then issue the command:

startx
