XFree86 Server Crash

I am trying to install version 4.0.2 of XFree86 (I currently have RedHat 7 with XFree86 4.0.1) and it won't work. I am installing using the Xinstall.sh script which XFree provides, and the installation seems to go okay. After the installation, running "XFree86 -configure" seems to detect everything ok. When I try to "startx" however, the Xserver crashes with the error message "no screens found." Is this a faulty install, or a problem with my hardware? Please help.

I've had some REALLY strange luck w/ X4.xx since it was released.

Xfree86 -configure didn't do much for me, so I resorted back to the good 'ol xf86config, which created a XF86Config file for me. I edited that, and changed a few driver names for video, and everything was just peachy.

Give that a shot, and let me know what happens.
