Sending syslog data to an IP?
On my windows systems, all SNMP and other syslog data is sent to one computer with a syslog daemon running. I want my one Linux system to do the same. I found the syslog.conf file, but all the default entries just store the logs in local files. Can I just replace the directory paths with an internal IP?

The Linux system is already joined to my AD domain and is on the same class C network as the other systems, so connectivity shouldn't be an issue. I'm just not sure if this can even be done in linux....

If you have Samba setup on the Linux machine, you could just setup a mount point on the Linux box that maps to the Domain controller.

I do have Samba, and I already am connected to the DC. I just need to know how to configure the syslog.conf file to point to an outside system. Currently, all logs just go to /var/logs/ or something like that.
