Accessing Linux box from Windows
I finally got my linux (CentOS 4) box to join my AD domain. It's right there in Network places with everybody else. I can even browse my WIndows systems from the linux box.

However, browsing the linux box from Windows is proving to be a bit of a pickle. I used SADMS to import all the users from my AD domain, so I now have an administrator account in linux. I have used Samba to creat a 'share' of a selected directory and given myself R/W permissions.

Whenever I try to browse the system, I am prompted to login. But the login & PW are rejected. I think I am missing a step somewhere.

Once again, I need help from the Linuxites out there.....

most likely its asking for a user account that is on the physical linux box itself, not the ad user account. I believe that samba will use pam as authentication which is tied to yoru /etc/passwd file etc.
