Using Ghost and Multiple Processors
Hello,

I have one Linux machine that I am planning to ghost and copy the image to another PC. The original machine is a single processor; the one receiving the image is a dual processor.

I don't know that much about Linux...is there something I need to do so that the machine receiving the image will utilize both processors?

Thanks,
Chris

Most likely configure smp in the kernel config (its simple by just clicking the options and recompiling, then putting the image to the boot sector.

course that also assumes that the machines have almost identical hardware. If they don't then you might not even be able to boot up because your kernel doesn't support the new hardware, and then you need to chroot from a live cd and make a new kernel with the stuff you need for the new machine.
