both fedora and downloaded ubuntu wont work
I've tried to install both of the systems and i just keep getting a boot disc error, I know its not anything in the files... help?

What is your hardware setup? What versions of Fedora and Ubuntu have you tried? What exactly is the error you get (and at what time during instilation?).

I don't even get into the install process, i set it to boot from CD, and it says system boot error, insert boot disck and then press enter. Im runnin a p4g8x deluxe, (you have to search for it on the asus site), 2 gigs of ram, 128mb ddr3 verto, 2.6 ghz processor, windows xp. and Fedora 4 and whatever the lastest ubuntu is

When you burnt the Fedora and Ubuntu to CD/DVD, did you burn them as "bootable" or did you burn them as images? Where did you download them from, what program are you using to burn, and what sort of CD/DVD media are you using?

i got the fedora from a magazine, so i dont think its how im burning them, the unbuntu i think i need it to be an ima file so i can burn it off nero, and i dont know how to do that, im pretty sure its somethin other than the cd
