I'm using Red Hat Linux 7.0 and I just tried installing it in a dual boot setup and I saw something interesting. During the post installation setup, just after it finished installing all of the files in the chosen partition, it gave some error and said to try lba32. To me that means that this version of Linux is capable of using lba32. My question now is how exactly do I enable it. I know that I need to edit lilo.conf, and then to run lilo again, but I don't understand any of that. What is the exact syntax of the line that I put in lilo.conf and where do I put it? And then how exactly do I "run" lilo? I'm thinking that after I create the Linux boot disk so I can boot into Linux with it in case I can't boot into it from the hard drive (which is how it works with the error I mentioned above) I boot with that boot disk, go into Linux, edit the lilo.conf file, then reboot and that's all there is to it. Is that how it's supposed to work? Thank you for your patience.
