I have a 486 that I installed tiny linux on. Problem is, I have to sneakernet ( use floppy disks to transfer files from one machine to another) files from the w98 machine that's connected to internet.
I'm having trouble finding a split/join programs that's compatable between the 2 different OS's. I was told tar would work, except I can't find a tar program for W98 that will let me split the files up onto different floppies.
Another problem is I don't have a compiler on the linux machine, so I can't compile any source code for it, either.
Help would be appriciated.
please don't bother to reply if your going to suggest networking/serial connecting the machines together. If I had the money, I'd just null-modem them together, but I'm rather broke.
thanks
