Internet Access NAT & Wan
I am currently running SCO 5.0.7, we have the system currently functioning on a nat platform and we are accessing the server over the net using port forwarding through a netgear router. One of our applications needs to be able to ping the server directly over the internet, so i have installed another network card and have configured with a static ip address. I cannot access the internet. Can anyone help?

There's a couple of ways to do it actually. My first suspicion is that iptables (firewall on the machine itself) is not configured to allow the second card access out of the box. On the second interface are you able to ping the gateway at least? If so then it is something in the netgear router stopping the interface from reaching the internet.

If the initial sco card is getting a ip address from the router as well, you should be able to based on the mac address on the initial card, give the same address to that interface all the time.

the system has two cards, both have static ip addresses , one has a nat and the other one is a public ip address,

192.168.0.5 - 255.255.255.0
24.165.134.56 - 255.255.255.248

The netgear router is set up as 192.168.0.1
