Question Linux distro for use with usb adsl modem
I've read there may be issues with many linux distros when using adsl through usb modems,if so is there a distro for NEWBIES TO LINUX that supports networking through usb adsl modems? Especially one with YaST (or similar) installer as I would NOT know what I was doing?

Unfortunately, I've not dealt with adsl modems, especially via usb. Is there any other connections on the modem other then usb? Like say a cat5 connector? If so then you'd be fine..however as you guessed usb adsl is hit or miss. I'm sure the suse would be fine with it if any other distro is fine with it. Is it a particular model of modem that you are using?

Thanks Tsunam, No cat5 only usb its a D-Link: DSL200 via usb2.0 and for the time being it has to stay (at least 3 months as other financial interests take precedence eg a new monitor as my 17" died 2 weeks ago and my back up 15" {both CRT} is getting to dark to use and will die soon as well ) anyways ? any bright ideas?
