Ubuntu Help
Ok, So i installed Ubuntu and it loads up and everything, i have it set to dual boot with windowsXP but when i load up Ubuntu it wont let me access all of my files on my harddrives. I have it installed on my primary slave drive, and wheni go to windows i cant find myUbuntu files either... but i would rather see my files from my E: while on the Ubuntu system

There could be many problems here... in order to see your "Windows" files from Ubuntu you'll need to be sure that:

1. You have the correct filesystem module installed (Probably the NTFS module)
To find this out you'll have to run the command "cat /proc/filesystems" and that will tell you if the NTFS filesystem module is installed (you should see something with NTFS in it).

2. The drive is mounted in Ubuntu
Ubuntu has some automounting features through X, but I'm not really sure how those work, so this site will tell you how to mount the drive manually or have it automounted on boot.

goto System>Administration>Disks
then you are technically the SU and you can access all of your disks

Ok, that gave me a list of my drives and stuff but how Do i access the files on them?
