Puppy linux questions
Hello
Have just built another pc just to learn how to use Linux.
Have started with Puppy, ( not sure if this is the right one for a newbie with Linux)
I managed to get it up and running, not quite sure how to get it to remember the settings etc.
Every time I reboot it has to reload from the cd, I know this is done with a boot loader but not quite how this is done.
Also at the startup screen it gives three choices to load, which one should I use?
Thanks for any help

If you want the Puppy Live CD to remember settings, you need the
Puppy Multisession distro, and a CD burner. Settings can be saved, then
burned onto the disk everytime you log out. Puppy's website has full
documentation on how to do this.

Puppy comes with a facility to install into the hard disk. It is in /start/setup/Install Puppy hard drive.

It is available in the desktop. After installing into the hard disk it will keep all the settings for you.

Puppy is about right for the first timer. It plays MP3, loads Internet and let you watch DVD movies right away without any user intervention (at least in my box)
