Changing GRUB
Hello,

Im just wondering if anyone can help a newbie to Linux...

On the GRUB boot menu thing which comes up and shows the avilable OS's, how can i change it so my Windows OS appears at the top of the list instead of Ubuntu?

Thanks!

Method 1 - amend the "default" statement to point to Windows instead of Linux. The number after the "default" statement instructs which system Grub must boot after the time specified in the "timeout" statement has been exceeded, so just change it. Grub counts from 0 so the 1st system will be "default 0".

Method 2 - Edit menu.lst. Copy and paste the Windows section to the top of the list. Three lines are involved; title, root and chainloader statements.
