Question Solved: Help to Install Ubuntu Linux with Windows Still On (Dual Boot)
Hello, Hola, Guten Tag, Bonjour, Ciao, Bom dia, こんにちは, 여보세요, 您好
That's "hello" x9 (In English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Chinese, respectivily)

I went to the Ubuntu Linux web site and got 16 CDs (way too many) and installed one on my old computer completly wiping XP from that computer. The computer that I am typing on is the one that I want to be able to dual boot Windows and Linux. I got through the setup ok until I got to the partioning place, I didn't want it to reformat the HD and lose all my files and Windows but I want Linux on it.

Specs

Dell Dimension 5100
Intel Pentium 4 w/ HT
512MB RAM
160 GB HD

When I installed Ubuntu I had already made the partitions needed with Partition Magic, so you might consider doing the same. Now ,however, when I installed SuSE as a dual boot I let it do the repartitioning - but SuSe has a fantastic partitioning system - you just move some sliders to the amount of HD space you want and it shrinks the windows partition accordingly. I don't know for sure but I believe that the Ubuntu system is QTParted which is similiar to Partition Magic.
