Solved: Sound gone
Hello,

Weird, I installed a great kids game into Ubuntu 5.10 on this Acer Aspire AMD Laptop but when I started it the sound was too loud so I exited the game, turned the sound down, restarted the game and now I have no sound! Nothing plays sound and nothing is muted. Reboot didnt help. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I reinstalled Ubuntu and still no sound so I followed the instructions at www.ubuntuguide.org re getting sound working in GNOME. This Linux is sure a strange beast.
