equivalent file in linux for Rtvscan.exe in windows

Dear Sir
I have faced one problem, in windows operating system we have used Symantec antivirus scanning for uploading files, in the same manner Linux what is the equivalent file for Rtvscan.exe file.

Pls can you find out that file it will be helpful for me.

This question is very similar to asking a 4x4 driver why doesn't he fit chains to the tyres when travelling on roads covered by snow.

You can get clamav or another AV for Linux, but you dont need it unless you are running a mail server for a bunch of windows machines. If you download and read your mail as a regular user (not root! ) you'll be fine.

An antivirus for linux is useless. There is almost no viruses for this OS.

there are linux viruses BUT thay need a lot of help to run and unless you are root when you run one all thay can mess up is the user account that runs them

over all an anti virus for linux is a waste of time
