Advice on Printer Drivers, Modem Drivers needed
I have recently become interested in Knoppix which can be run from CD, DVD, or USB Pendrive. There seems to be a lack of support for Printer and USB Modem drivers (broadband) though I seem to be getting closer to my goal. I am quite impressed with Knoppix 5.0.1 and would appreciate any input or help regarding drivers. Thanks in advance

Good Afternoon Saxon, if you have problems finding modules to operate different devices you may find using live CD's of different systems and running them gives an idea of what you need.

Simply Mepis, Puppy and other Live systems can be very helpful, if you can get another system to operate the device you are having problems with, running "lsmod" wil give you an idea of what has been loaded. So just pinch that module and put it in your system.

I like Puppy because of the good identification it makes, but I do use other systems from time to time.
You may find using a networking card is a good idea to connect your modem if you have a selection choice ability.
Printers very often have other model type drivers that operate quite successfully.
