Solved: VLC for Ubuntu
Anyone know where I can get a binary to download for Ubuntu? The machine has no internet access so I can't do it this way:

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-ubuntu.html

I would like to download the file, then send it to the machine and install it that way?

Thanks,
J.S.

You may have to download the source.tgz and compile it yourself. The instructions are at the link you posted.

alright. I was just wondering if there was a precompiled binary elsewhere.

Thanks,

He just wants the vlc package; he already has Ubuntu installed. It's just that it's not connected to the internet so he cant apt-get it.
