New User to linux
i installed Maderiva Linux from a magazine CD. I have Win XP sp2 in my system. My hard disk has 4 partitions 5,5,15,15 gbs. So i installed linux in 15 gb one by partitioning about 5 gb for linux. now that i have removed linux, the 5gb space is not visible in win XP. Please help

nsquaredude,

Your computer now see's that 5 gigs as a Linux partition.
You have to clear you MBR [master boot record].

Try this:
Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > COmputer Management > Disk Mangement (near the ottom of the column on the left)
I don't know if it shows the actual disks or partitions as well, if you can find the one linux was on, right click it, format, I can only choose NTFS so choose that or whatever you want to use and press ok. Shouldn't take long on 5gb. Took mine about an hour to format a 250gb hard drive so it shoul take 5 mins.
