2 OS on 1 Hard Drive
My mom has Linux and Windows XP on 1 hard drive. It is giving her all kinds of problems. Is this normal?

there shouldn't be any issues whatsoever. We've got probably 150 dual boot linux/windows machines at work; I wouldn't know the first thing about fixing the linux side, however.
And we do need just a few more details, as prune suggested.

I am dead meat if there can be booting problem with just two OSs in one hard disk.
The second last link documents one PC with 4 hard disks. The first "hda" one has 60 partitions all filled with one OS per partition. It is among the 100+ systems that Grub, a Linux boot loader, has to boot.
