Me again
This is probably very simple but I guess I don't get it. I've got clamav and aegis virus scanner but they don't show up as options in any of the dropdown menus under either apps or system. I tried looking up how to run them from the command line but nothing works so far. So my question is I guess, how do I either add them to one of the drop down menus or run them from the terminal? When I use file manger I can find them but I don't see an exe file on which I can click to start them so I'm at a loss as to how this is supposed to work. Like I said probably simple and very basic; however, I don't get it. Sorry about that.

Open up APT and install clamtk and klamav.

Graphical frontends for clamav.

ClamAV should be running at startup; look in the FAQ, see if that helps. As Prunejuice pointed out, APT is a great tool.

Also, Linux does not use .exe files, those are exclusive to windows.
