Do I have Malware?
Hi,

I'm looking for tips on how to quickly identify from the command line if any malware has crept it's way into my system. i.e. what information might change or be abnormal from a clean system.

Any comments would be appreciated,
Thanks

I know that chkrootkit can detect known rootkits. I'm sure there's more, but I'm not aware of them.

there is also rkhunter found at http://www.rootkit.nl/

chkrootkit is found at http://www.chkrootkit.org/

basically if you don't install things that you don't know what they are..you are fine. You don't get more then tracking cookies in linux.
