Well, I checked out RedHat.com's hardware compatibillity list, and didn't see it on there. If you look on the red hat page, you might find it. Sorry. Are you trying to install it, or trying to configure X? If you have it installed already, login, and type:
startx
This should start the X server.
If it's on the installating CD, you can tell easily. After the kernel loads, read the messages. While probing for the card, it will tell you one of two things.
One: X server started correctly
Two: You will get a list of resolutions scrolling down the monitor, and you'll get a message like unknown card. If everything is all white in the background, instead of grey, then the chances are that the card is not supported. I had to go through it, and I hated it. Glad I use i810e right now, for redhat, anyway.
Either way, try to configure the video card manually. I think you'll have to configure X. Two methods:
*1) If Linux is already installed:
To do this, at the LILO prompt, type Ctrl+x. This will put you into a text boot prompt. When there, type "linux single", (no quotes). Then, when you get to the shell prompt, type "setup" (no quotes). Once there, select Xconfigurator, then answer the questions. If you know how much video RAM you use, then just enter it where the video RAM is listed. Then you want to continue.
*2) If you're installing Linux:
When you get to the video card section, and you get the error, at the bottom of the screen, there should be a pull down menu telling you how much video RAM there is. If there is an error, and the settings is not correct, then you will want to just select the pull down menu and select the amount of video RAM you have in your system.
If you have to type instead of using a pull-down menu, then just type how much video RAM you have, and you *SHOULD* be good to go. Hope this helps. If not, let me know, and me, stufine, or MikeV should answer you.
