I want to try Linux - Portable Linux
I was thinking of giving Linux a test drive and was wondering whether there is a portable version of Linux that can be run from a USB drive or a CD. This would allow me to learn linux while still maintaining my Windows platform (currently running windows xp on a Pentium 4 with 1 GB RAM)

I hope these links help as a starting point for you:

In particular have a look at "Puppy Installer for Windows XP":

PCLinuxOS.com for a great distro especially for converting Windows users.

Includes everything you need including binary video drivers and works 100% from the CD.
