emacs problem in ubuntu 6.10
i am using ubuntu 6.10 and i have GNU Emacs 21.4.1. when i run emacs i can read the menu but other charachters are not readable they are just small boxes.
have a look. i just cropped the bottom of picture and its colors changed.

what could be the problem?

I think your problem will have a better chance in our Linux forum...
