Linux File Name Problem?
Hey guys,

Question, I just downloaded Red Hat 7.1 from the www.redhat.com website .....4 files:

1 powertools
2 seawolf-i386-srpms.iso
3seawolf-i386-disc1.iso
4 seawolf-i386-disc2.iso
(each file about 650 MB each)

Now I created the boot floppy for the installation and burned the ISO images onto a CD . I fdisked my hard drive and formatted it and when I boot to the linux boot disk (floppy created with rawrite.exe) ....the GUI installation starts but then when it asks for where my ISO images are stored I direct it to my cd-rom drive and it says that it cannot find the image in the specified drive. I went back to my cd-rom drive to view the seawolf-i386-disc1.iso and seawolf-i386-disc2.iso files and I see that DOS has renamed both of them to SEA_0001.iso . Could this be why the GUI install does not see the images ? I took the CDs back to my windows ME PC and the name on the files were fine but when I view it from DOS it changes. Tried auto installing by booting to the cd-rom drive but that didnt work eithor. I burned the CD images using Sony CD Extreme and recall reading something on the Red Hat website that ISO image files cant be burned like regular data files. In any case any recomendations would be nice.....I've searched everywhere trying to find some info with no luck. This is the best website on the web !
