PS3 Linux
Hello, im having abit of a problem here:

i have install linux on my new ps3 but theres a problem i type in ydltext and it gets on to the black screen log-in i type in root, and then my password and then it asks for a prompt it tells me to typin graphical user interface on my guide but it tells me that is not an vaild command and i have looked at the command list it allows and it is not in the list or nothing like it and this quide is directly from the linux guys

Would be greatfull if you could help me please.

Try typing "startx" after login.

it comes up aload of writting fast and then the screen stays black.

It's true. I read it in an article in this month's Linux Journal. I'd post a link to the LJ.com version, but I can't figure out how to subscribe for the online/interactive (free) subscription (I am not subscribed to the printed version..just picked up a copy at the beginning of this month).

I did, however, find a link to a PS3 blog which has instructions for installing Yellow Dog Linux (the only officially supported, as far as I know, PS3 Linux Distro):
