Question Linux Question
A few months ago my old Compaq Presario crashed and I was forced to use the emergency recovery disk. Everything went fine until I was asked to enter the Microsoft Windows serial No. Guess what? I don't have it. I know it must be on the manual that came with the computer, but that is long gone. I don't really want to go and buy a new version of windows so I was thinking of just installing a basic edition of Linux (about $30).Has anybody had any experience with installing Linux on this kind of computer keeping in mind that there is no version of Windows on the computer now? Thanks for any help you can give me.
