Question Linux Mandrake 8.1 wont load HELP
i just got linux and the first 2 days it worked fine but today when i went to logon it froze. I shut off the comp then restarted it again. The same thing happend so i restarted it again and a screen that said this came up (i am running linx4win with windows '98): Linux Version 2.4.8-26mdk

I'm not familiar with linx4win but what happens if you just log in at the login prompt (Localhost Login?

IT WORKED!!! but it doesnt read the cd rom or the burner although it never did so can u fix this for me?

I'll need to jump on Mandrake here at home to check but I imagine you'll need to mount them first.

Hopefully, I'll be back soon if someone else doesn't come along first.
