Linux courses avaliable online free
Here.

The following courses are available, except for Linux Networking as explained:

Linux First Steps: This course is designed to guide inexperienced users through their first steps into the wonderful (and stable) world of Linux. This process should be as painless as possible and this course covers all the necessary information that a new user needs to start the journey to a place here “reboot” just isn’t the standard solution! This course leads the new user through the history of Linux, through the preparations leading up to an actual installation, the installation of Red Hat and/or SuSE Linux, followed by a tour through the most used commands and the common tools a user needs to understand within the Linux environment. The course continues with a tour of the tandard paths users can follow to find information about their Linux systems. In closing the course will take the student through a kernel compilation and present a short overview of the more well known services used in Linux solutions today. Table of Contents

* Day 1 - Linux history and installation.
* Day 2 - Linux basics.
* Day 3 - Linux customization.
* Day 4 - Linux/Windows productivity.

Apache on Linux This is a one day workshop to provide the student with a working knowledge of the Apache webserver as run on a Linux machine. Table of Contents

* Apache on Linux.

Linux Networking This course is under revision, please contact me if you are interested. Table of Contents

* Day 1 - Background & Networking Basics.
* Day 2 - Linux Intranet setup & NFS.
* Day 3 - Linux & Samba.

Since the last teaching of these courses, I have rewritten parts, integrated parts and basically cleaned it all up so that the “Linux First Steps” is now a four day course. As you will notice, “Linux Networking” is still under revision and is currently unavailable.

Very nice! I've bookmarked this. I may run through that course myself. I still have a LOT to learn about GNU/Linux!

Thanks!

I noticed that this course was written in 2002, does that mean that Linux hasn't really changed much since then? Would everything still be relevant with the new release of Feisty?
Thanks for the link, it should help with my next trip into the land of linux.

Linux is still Linux under the hood. There have been some improvements, but the basic structure and operations of Linux below the GUI are pretty much the same as they were in '02.

HAHAHA! You shouldn't be. It wasn't that obvious. You had to look closely for it.
