Slim OS help
I am looking for a slim install of Linux for a business related purpose. I have demoed DSL and it's just a huge pile of apps, I am looking for something geared towards business that has a very small footprint, under 200MB preferably. Any suggestions would surely help, it needs to be able to support network connectivity, sound, parallel and serial connections.

Check out PuppyLinux, if I remember correctly it is under 100MB.

My Uncle and I were actually able to get Puppy Linux running on a PC with a 200MHz Processor and <90MB RAM. It ran fairly well for the specs of the machine.

another good choice may be PCLinuxOS. They have a MiniMe distro (I'm waiting for the 2007 release) which I have used on my USB Flash drive in the past. The MiniMe distro allows you to install the bare essentials from the start, and then build upward.

Hope this information will be of some help.

Take care.
