Solved: Ubuntu 7.04 partition failure
Hi, I've got XP installed on my computer, but I now want to add Ubuntu 7.04 and make a dual-boot system. I've got the CD needed to install this version but when I'm in the install wizard and I choose the guided resize partition option and click 'Forward', when it starts resizing the partition it stays at 0% and moves no further. After a while an error message appears,

Resize operation failure
An error occured while writing the changes to the storage devices.
The resize operation is aborted.

Any help out there on what I am doing wrong? Or any links that can help me sort this out?

Thanks, Bartikky

Oh and 1 unrelated question, how can i delete threads that I've started? Or even can I? I couldn't find this in the FAQ Section.

Yup, I do, I'm sure I have 512MB+ and yeah I've checked, it is about 700 something... I just can't remember the exact figure.

Defrag the xp partition first would help.

Also for obvious reason there should be plenty empty space left after resizing.
