Have you tried a different browser, such as Konqueror?

Did this work before, in Ubuntu? Or have you only used it in windows?

There are a few sites that only work with windows IE. Personally, I am leery of a site that insists on using it. I figure it is so they can exploit something within it that can't be done another way. Otherwise, any browser should be able to read it.

Opera blocks alot of things by default.
When was the last time you updated Ubuntu and its' apps.?
Maybe it is time.

I don't use Ubuntu, so I am not familiar with its browsers, but try the one it wants to use as default, such as when you search your home folders.

Have you tried clicking on the area of the galabingo webpage where the red box would normally be on the right-hand side? Sometimes, what isn't there may be hidden, but functional (may only work on a case-by-case basis).

Try it and let us know what happens.

I've just tried it with 3 browsers, each one displays it identically to your screenshot, Firefox, Opera & Konqueror.

Notice on your screenshot, bottom right corner, in the yellow area, you can't read all of the text, same thing with my three attempts.

Also, where it says welcome to gala bingo in the blue area, mouse pointer changes giving impression there is a link or something to be selected yet clicking it does nothing.

I'd e-mail them.

Edit: You have not mentioned whether this worked before in Ubuntu or is it a new thing?

I am using Firefox 2.0.0.6 on a Fiesty Fawn Ubuntu 7.04 release.

I remember when I used Firefox on my WinXP system there was an add-on that was named IEView that opened a webpage in IE. However, I do not think that is possible in Ubuntu, i.e. no IE.

Perhaps the only way to play then is to use Firefox in WinXP with IEView add-on or else stick to IE.

The problem is likely that the webpage is code to IE or MS standards, and not to more general web page standards.
