MS Updates Warning
This happened to me.
Just updated.
One of the options was to update my Realtek Etho card, 8139 fast etho.
Do not do this update.
After doing so, Linux could not connect to internet.
Had to roll back driver to get it to work again.
Reconfiguring Linux connection, update driver, nothing worked but to go back to XP and rollback driver.

When I was running WinXP Pro SP2, I never updated any hardware options wrt the usual monthly updates on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

Good advice RootbeaR!
